It's been a few days . . . what an amazingly beautiful day . . .

I thank you, God, for most this amazing day

For the leaping, greenly, spirits of trees and the true, blue dream of sky

And for everything that is natural, which is infinite, which is yes!

I thank you, God, I thank you, God, I thank you, God, I thank you, God

for most this amazing day . . . Chief Dan George

I worked in the garden ALL day. I had planned to paint but got carried away with the mushroom manure and enjoyed working with my husband. I planted sunflowers, lavateras, raked out the perennials and planted petunias, etc. . . it was too nice to be indoors. I also washed the windows inside and out - hopefully the birds avoid them! What an amazing day . . . got e-mails from my dad (who has safely returned from a European adventure) who is 71 and my sister who is on tour with 'Danny, King of the Basement'. That was cool! This is my dad . . . and my grandson!

So it's another sunny day and the beech tree leaves look spectacular. It was a wonderful weekend . . . cooked a Mediterranean dinner for close friends - yeah, you can try new recipes on those you care for . . . went to the VanDop Gallery open house on Saturday - beautiful art pieces that would look great on the Groot walls but then I am creating my own collection of Groot watercolours . . . back to the gallery/house for Mother's Day . . it is incredible that we can all gather together, ex-wife, her husband, me, my husband, and grandparents, children (it gets complicated), etc. and celebrate God's goodness to our extended family! Next week we celebrate David's 30th birthday here . . . altogether again and it is a blessing! I painted last night, 4 on the go and I aim for 2 of them to turn out well. My goal is 10 very good paintings by spring of 2006 to get signature status with the Federation of Canadian artists . . . that will be a challenge. Here are a few pics . . .

So, here I am again and who cares if anyone reads this or not. Norm and I had an amazing lunch at Diva, the restaurant where James work. He served us some fabulous meals, and added a few extra touches which were awesome. It was more than worth the drive and a nice touch on a day off. Now I have a pork tenderloin with sesame stuffing in the oven, to be served with rice, asparagus and coleslaw - yummy! It's raining but that's alright today. Now I'm going to paint and think about the course I have enrolled in - teaching english as a second language. I aspire to return to South Korea next January and pray that doors will be opened so I can return. Here's a photo of the fun time I had on my last visit . . .
